White Fused Alumina is made from redused fusion of high purity alumina powder whose content is Aluminium Oxide(Al2O3). It has very high refractory temperature, acid and alkali corrosion resistant, stable in chemical content, high true gravity/density, low porosity rate, thermal shock resistant. It's an excellent corundum aluminium oxide refractory material. White Fused Alumina refractory grades is an important high end material for production of shaped and unshaped refractory products.
Along with Brown Fused Alumina,White Fused Alumina is one of the important refractory material in synthetic corundum family, while with higher Aluminium Oxide content.

White fused alumina for abrasive and refractory belongs to the group of electro-corundum. It is produced by controlled melting of alumina in an electric arc furnace. White fused alumina is iron-free, ultra pure and extremely hard.
White fused alumina is produced by fusing calcined alumina in an electric arc furnace under carefully controlled conditions. The material produced is white in color, dense and has predominantly large crystals of alpha alumina. Ingots are crushed, ground, and precision screened in our new sizing plant to obtain very consistent sized fractions. Magnetic iron from crushing is removed by rare earth magnets to ensure very low levels of iron in the finished products. Close sized fractions are available or precision blended to specification. This process ensures a very consistent sizing from coarse to fines which is critical in many applications.
White aluminum oxide has white color and a little higher hardness and toughness comparing with the brown one. The grinding tools made of this material are suitable for fine grinding of high carbon steel, high-speed steel and stainless steel, abrasive powder of finer grit size, can also be used for precision casting and high-grade refractory.
