Silica sand /Quartz sand is processed by crushing quartz grains of quartz, quartz stone is a kind of non-metallic minerals, is a hard, wear-resistant and stable chemical properties of silicate minerals, the main mineral component is SiO2, quartz sand the color is white or colorless, translucent, Mohs hardness of 7, quartz sand is an important industrial mineral raw materials, non-hazardous chemicals, widely used in glass, foundry, ceramics and refractories, smelting ferrosilicon, metallurgical flux, metallurgy, construction, chemicals, plastics, rubber, abrasive, media and other industries. Sandblasting Grade of Silica Sand Fine Quartz Sand From China Manufacturer Features: Hard, wear-resistant, chemical stability of minerals. Natural Silica Sand. Huge Reserve raw material of Silica sand in China. White granules shape Used in float glass Painting, ceramics and so on. Wide application in many industry. Water filtration Glass manufacture Industrial casting Sand blasting Producing concrete Adding texture to slick roads Silica sand impacts every aspect of daily life. Many industrial suppliers carry silica sand in bulk quantities, while some smaller household stores sell it in smaller amounts for home or home construction use.
Silica sand, also known as quartz sand, white sand, or industrial sand, is made up of two main elements: silica and oxygen. Specifically, silica sand is made up of silicon dioxide (SiO2). The most common form of SiO2 is quartz â?? a chemically inert and relatively hard mineral. SiO2 grades at a 7 out of 10 on Mohs hardness scale, making it ideal for use as filtration media and abrasive blasting sands. Although quartz is often white or colourless, it can come in a wide range of shades. The colour of each sand deposit depends largely on the variety of minerals and rock detritus that make up the resource. In order to be considered a silica sand the material must contain at least 95% SiO2 and less than 0.6% iron oxide. If the sand does not meet this criteria, it will qualify as whatâ??s often called â??regularâ?? sand. Regular sand, also known as feldspathic sand, brown sand, or construction sand, will always contain some silica, but only in amounts less than 95%. For example, typical brown sand used for concrete applications can contain up to 80% SiO2, along with varying amounts of iron, carbonate, potassium, and other trace elements/minerals. MOQ 25,000MT Supplied from Egypt, Iraq, Vietnam or Indonesia

Micro Silica Sand: Micro silica also known as fume, is an amorphous (non-crystalline) polymorph of silicon dioxide, silica. It is an ultrafine powder collected as a by-product of the silicon and ferrosilicon alloy production and consists of spherical particles with an average particle diameter of 150 mm. The main field of application is as pozzolanic for high performance concrete because of its extreme fineness and high silica. Applications : Silica is added to Portland cement concrete to improve its properties, in particular its compressive strength, bond strength, and abrasion resistance. These improvements stem from both the mechanical improvements resulting from addition of a very fine powder to the cement paste mix as well as from the pozzolanic reactions between the silica fume and free calcium hydroxide in the paste. Advantages : Addition of silica also reduces the permeability of concrete to chloride ions, which protects the reinforcing steel of concrete from corrosion, especially in chloride-rich environments such as coastal regions and those of humid continental roadways and runways (because of the use of deicing salts) and saltwater bridges.
