A grade admits some small healthy knots with a max. diameter of 5.4 mm, with an allowance of 2 knots every running meter for 90mm wide and below. 3 knots are allowed for 120 mm wide and above. Uniform of color with small limited character marks. B v Grade : The face may contain small streaks, burls, slight imperfections, black lines, black colored knots and tight knots which do not exceed 2.45mm, with an allowance of 4 knots every running meter for 90mm wide and below. 6 knots are allowed for 120 mm wide and above. Knots should be repaired. In principle free of sapwood. . More color variation allowed within the parcel. C v Grade : The face may contain sapwood, big streaks, burls, imperfections, and knots which do not exceed 3.54mm in diameter. No pin worm hole is allowed. C- grade allows colored repaired knots. Sapwood is allowed for max. 30% of the width and 30% of the height. Sapwood should be repaired.
