So when in use, some special dispersants and penetrants are usually added. It is soluble in dioxane, dimethylformamide, etc., and slightly soluble in other organic solvents. MBT is very stable in the pH range of 6 to 6.5, but it will hydrolyze rapidly when the pH reaches 8.
