Petcryl 910 is the brand name of Polyglactin 910 sutures made by Dolphin Sutures. Dolphin Sutures is the first Indian brand to introduce Polyglactin sutures in India. Polyglactin suture is a braided and coated synthetic absorbable suture and is a co-polymer of 90% Glycolide and 10% L-lactide. Polyglactin 910 sutures retain tensile strength of about 70% of initial strength at 14 days of implantation. Polyglactin 910 sutures are indicated for soft tissue approximation and ligation. Polyglactin sutures have mild tissue reaction during the absorption process.
