Cauliflower belongs to the same plant family as cabbage, broccoli, kale, bok choy and Brussels sprouts. Cauliflower is a highly nutritious vegetable, ranking among the top 10 foods in regards to ANDI score (Aggregate Nutrient Density Index), which measures vitamin, mineral and phytonutrient content in relation to caloric content. It is low in calories and an excellent source of vitamin C and fiber, as well as provides two core conventional antioxidants. Cauliflower is a cool-season crop requiring more exacting temperature for quality production than its relatives. The optimal temperature range for cauliflower is between 18° C and 20° C. It is extremely sensitive to unfavorable conditions, such as unusually hot weather, drought or too low temperature, which often result in the formation of premature heads or curds. Our Cauliflower is sourced from growers in Thailand, China, India, Egypt and Spain. To find out more about our Cauliflower please contact sales@crescoproduce.com.
BOF SLAG: Basic oxygen furnace About 100 ? 200 kg of BOF slag is generated per ton of liquid steel. This material is often used in projects like road construction, but this route provides little energy efficiency gains. Steel slag can also be used in the cement clinker manufacturing process. The result is an increase in clinker production of up to 15% with no net increase in CO2 emissions. Basic oxygen furnace (BOF) slag has increased skid resistance and high level of strength (described by the impact- and crushing value) compared to natural rocks (e.g. basalt) and thus makes it an ideal aggregate for road constructions and surface layers for high skid resistance. Other fields of application are the production of fertilizers or the use of armour stones for hydraulic engineering.
