You should normally allow 65mm minimum to the edges and bottom of the footings using plastic bar chairs or trench mesh supports to keep the mesh in place. Trench mesh is designated as x-L8TM, x-L11TM or x-L12TM. The x is the number of main bars. 3-L8TM has three bars, which are 8 mm in diameter. 4-L11TM has four bars, which are 11 mm in diameter.
