CHoney yam or sweet potatoes are medium to large in size and long and cylindrical in shape with a slightly irregular shape. The skin is rough with golden brown shades and mottled with tiny eyes, dark brown spots, and fine root hairs. The flesh is firm, dense, and ivory-colored to light brown-orange, turning into a rich yellow-orange when cooked. The sweet potato cilembu, which is botanically classified as Ipomoea batatas, belongs to the family Convolvulaceae.
