Alfalfa Hay, Medicago Sativa, also known as Lucerne hay or Lucerne grass, is one of the most important forage crops cultivated in agriculture. It is widely grown throughout the world as forage for cattle and is typically harvested as hay. Alfalfa has the highest feeding value of all commonly grown hay crops. When grown on well-adapted soils, alfalfa is the highest yielding forage plant.
Alfalfa Hay is used primarily for dairy cattle but is also fed to beef cattle, horses, sheep, goats and camels. One of the most important characteristics of alfalfa is its high nutritional quality as a complete animal feed. Alfalfa contains between 15% to 23% crude protein, as well as an excellent source of vitamins and minerals.

afalfa hay is an excellent source of good quality protein and fiber. Alfalfa is a legume hay and times called "lucerne".
These hays are higher in protein and minerals and are more palatable than grass hays. Alfalfa in particularis high in
energy and is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. When properly cured, alfalfa is the best of the legume h ays
from a nutrient standpoint. It has the most feed value of all the perennial pastureforages. Alfalfa is used as for horses,
dairy cows, beef cattle, sheep, chickens, turkeys and other farm animals.

Alfalfa, also called lucerne, is a perennial flowering plant in the legume family Fabaceae. It is cultivated as an important forage crop in many countries around the world. It is used for grazing, hay, and silage, as well as a green manure and cover crop. The name alfalfa is used in North America.
We are able to source and export alfalfa hay bales in the following sizes:
3'x4'x8' (1m x 1.25m x 2.5m)
4'x4'x8' (1.25M x 1.25M x 2.5m)
This is clean, natural, alfalfa hay it is not organic but was grown without pesticides, we can provide testing results as well upon request. We have RFVs (relative feed values) from 150-220 available. 4'x4' bales weight around 1800 lbs, and 3'x3' bales around 1200 lbs. We can also make 20KG bales that are approximately 1'x1'x3' as well for ease of unloading.
