THE PROCESS:
I begin every Tie Dye creation by presoaking the fabric in a high concentration soda ash bath for 24+ hours. I tie the garment up using a variety of materials, such as: sinew, rubber bands, kite string, clamps & other items. I dye all my products using Dharma Trading Co. & Procion Mx fiber reactive powdered dyes. I allow each creation to set in the dye between 24 to 48 hours. After fully soaking in the dye, I rinse each item by hand and then soak it in a distilled vinegar and sea salt bath to set the deep dye colors in to the material. Finally, each garment goes through multiple warm washes to insure all residual dye has been removed.
AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Wash in cold water with like colors, or separately. Tumble dry on low/medium heat. Do not Bleach.
