Sandstone mostly consists of quartz, silica, iron oxide and calcium carbonate and is durable, weather, acid and thermal resistant and has crushing strength. They can at most take a honed polish, and are used as garden and commercial landscapes, exterior wall cladding, etc. They come in an array of colors & shades and can be chiseled and dressed to a smooth surface in various attractive shapes. The bending strength of the product ranges from 12kg/cm�² to 150kg/cm�². Each and every resin coated sand formulation can be customized so you can optimize your operation\'s unique capabilities. Resin coated sand can produce the shell core and shell mould for the following parts: 1) Automobile and motorcycle engine parts 2) Aluminium alloy casting 3) Grey iron casting 4) Brass and copper casting 5) Stainless steel casting
Olivine does not contain chloride, there will be no corrosion and adhesion problems. The iron (Fe2O4) in olivine is the most stable form of iron. Due to this feature, it does not react chemically with the oxygen in the air and water. Therefore, since there will be no oxidation, the paint process after cleaning will have a longer life. Olivine does not contain free silica. And because of this feature, it does not cause silicosis disease. It removes the health and safety concerns of the operators. Moreover, olivine is also used as a fertilizer in the treatment of drinking water and in agriculture. However, silica sand contains free silica in its varieties and creates a carcinogenic hazard for the users of this sand in terms of health. The use of minerals containing free silica is prohibited in various countries (such as Norway, Sweden, England and the Netherlands) on the grounds that they cause silicosis disease. In our country, the use of minerals containing free silica was banned by the Ministry of Health in 2009. It is environmentally friendly. It has no harmful effects on the environment. The grain shape of the olivine is angular and this feature significantly increases the surface cleaning speed. The hardness of olivine is 6.5 -7, which is an important feature for its use as an abrasive material and ensures high efficiency in surface cleaning. Casting Sand made of olivine, with its sintering point at 1450 �ºC and melting point above 1760 �ºC, provides excellent performance in iron castings (grey cast iron, nodular cast iron, tempered cast iron) and also performs well in non- ferrous castings. Using olivine as casting sand, it contributes significantly to casting companies both financially and in terms of quality. Especially in Mn castings, olivine is the definitive solution in these castings where surface roughness is important. In addition, molds made of Olivine are preferred in problematic situations between the metal materials poured during casting and the mold. Silica-containing sands react with the metal during casting, while the olivine mold does not allow the metal to enter into its body. As Olivine's high magnesium content olivine sand, when used with clays, increases its binding properties and significantly reduces the need for bentonite. Olivine's basic nature makes it an ideal choice for manganese steel production. In contrast to silica sand, olivine sand does not interact with manganese steels, keeping surface grinding costs to a minimum and giving high cleanliness casting results. Fine grain olivine sand is also commonly used in brass, bronze and aluminum castings. This is relatively due to the moisture-free properties of the material and the angularity of the particles. This property provides consistency and low permeability, resulting in castings with very good surface treatment. The angular particles of olivine sand, even when thoroughly crushed, ensure that it is still gas permeable after forging, which plays a very important role in the escape of steam in castings. Olivine has a much higher return rate than silica sand. This is due to less upheaval and less distortion in thermal shocks.
