Steel Billet, also called bar stock, is technically a semi-finished casting product that needs further processing before becoming a finished material. Actually, since billet is grained in its structure as a metal it processes very intricately.

In different countries, rebar is produced based on different standards, and in each standard, there is a definite classification in relation to the mechanical properties of steel. Most of the steel mills production complies with the Russian standard which is divided into three types of A-1, A-2 and A-3 steel.

The A-1 grade is of a flat type. The yield strength and tensile strength (rupture stress) are 2400 and 3600 kg / cm2, respectively.
The A-2 grade is of an indented bar type with the yield strength of 3400 and a tensile strength of 5000 kg/cm2.
