This outstanding honey has sharp Manuka flavour with a beautiful dark colour and the sweet and earthy aromas that strong Manuka honey has become famous for. Rare New Zealand offers traceability through Single Origin harvests and assurance of quality from a hands-on approach. Single Origin refers to our honey being harvested from precise locations in the North Island of New Zealand. This Honey comes from Southern Hawkes Bay produced on the hives during December 2020 and January 2021. We care for our own beehives to produce this special honey, it is not bought, mixed or blended, we as a team harvested it with our own bare hands, hive by hive, frame by frame for you to enjoy. We have lifted every honeybee box in this process keeping it authentic and ethical every step of the journey from the bees to the bottle.
Our Main product is Omega mussels. They are a brilliantly simple and delicious product. Our Mussels are cleaned and fully cooked so when the customer receives them all they need to do is heat (no need to fully cook) and eat them. Perfect for any restaurant or home looking to make a seafood dish easily. The magic of our mussels is that they are cooked using a retort process which retains the flavour and beautiful fresh texture of the mussel but most importantly it pops the mussels open so the mussels do not require opening with a knife.
