Moringa seeds are the seeds of the Moringa tree. Moringa is known as the "miracle tree", and its leaves, flowers, tender pods, and seeds (moringa seeds) can be eaten directly; the powder ground from its tender roots is one of the raw materials for making curry powder. The oil extracted from Moringa seeds is edible oil. The Moringa tree has provided Indian vegetarians with the nutrients they need for their daily needs since ancient times, and it is easier to cultivate. Therefore, the planting of Moringa tree in Africa has been promoted by the United Nations as an aid project to solve the food shortage . In recent years, the dietary and medical value of Moringa has been widely recognized.
The oil content is 35 - 40 in the see and 50 - 60 % in the kermel. The oil contains 21% satured fatty acids and 79 % unsaturated fatty acids. There are some chemicals elements in the seed which are poisonous and render the oil not appropriate for human consumption. It is significant to point out that, the non-edible vegetable oil of jatropha curcas has the requisite potential of providing a promising and commercially viable alternative to diesel oil since it has desirable physicochemical and performance characteristics comparable to diesel. Cars could be run with Jatropha Curcas without requiring much change in design. The chemical analysis of Jatropha Curcas is given in Table (1).
