Marine exhaust hoses are key components in a marine exhaust system. They can be used as flexible connectors to circulate, transfer and cool engine water. These hoses are easy to install and offer excellent vibration dampening compared to rigid piping or tubing. Marine wet exhaust hoses are particularly effective because they mix seawater with exhaust gases. The seawater is injected into the exhaust stream to cool the exhaust gases, thereby significantly reducing the temperature of the exhaust gases before they leave the vessel.

Marine Wet Exhaust Systems
Water is injected into the exhaust system to cool the gas, which then passes through the outlets. The injected water reduces the temperature of the exhaust gases from as high as 2000F to less than 250F. This is enough to cool the gas for the use of flexible silicone hoses. Water-cooled exhaust does not cause fires and does not require insulation.
