They can be used as flexible connectors to circulate, transfer and cool engine water. These hoses are easy to install and offer excellent vibration dampening compared to rigid piping or tubing. Marine wet exhaust hoses are particularly effective because they mix seawater with exhaust gases. The seawater is injected into the exhaust stream to cool the exhaust gases, thereby significantly reducing the temperature of the exhaust gases before they leave the vessel.
