Volvo Penta D6-370 is an in-line 6-cylinder, 5.5-liter diesel engine using common-rail fuel injection, double overhead camshafts, and turbo. This contributes to excellent operating economy, high reliability and long-term durability.
HIGH PERFORMANCE
Immediate response and high performance is matched by lower amounts of noise and vibrations further reduced by the balance shaft and the optimized engine suspension.
COMPACT, ROBUST AND LIGHTWEIGHT
The engine is lightweight and extremely compact for its large swept volume and high output. The rigid cast-iron cylinder block and cylinder head, and exactly controlled fuel injection give excellent onboard comfort.
UNIQUE MARINE TORQUE
The unique marine torque of the Volvo Penta diesel engines stands out among the competition by offering increased load-carrying capability, rapid acceleration, and the ability to maintain a high cruising speed, irrespective of load or sea state.
LOW FUEL CONSUMPTION
The high-tech fuel injection system helps make the engine highly fuel efficient. The control unit monitors several parameters which reduces the overall fuel consumption.
ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEMS
Volvo Penta offers two type-approved systems for on-board electronic control. Electronic Vessel Control fully integrates the engines, electronics and a range of optional features. Marine Commercial Control System is an open system that is easily integrated into the shipâ??s control system.
LONG SERVICE LIFE
A propulsion system from Volvo Penta is easy to maintain. Our comprehensive range of high-quality oil, lubrication and coolant ensures uptime and top performance in the long term. Accessories include a fuel pre-filter to keep the engine in good condition.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
- Electronically controlled common-rail fuel system - Compact dimensions - Electronic controls are standard - Easily accessible service points
- Solid and robust engine design - Heavy-duty engine cover - PTO capability - Instrumentation with full Electronic Vessel Control functionality

The compact Dtorque 111 is designed to revolutionize the small workboat market where its expected lifespan of well over 10,000 hours at least doubles that of any comparable outboard gasoline engine. The Dtorque 111 offers a remarkably smooth and quiet diesel engine, delivering 50 hp at the propeller with a stunning torque output of 111 Nm at just 2,500 rpm. This is considerably better than the latest 70 hp 4-stroke gasoline models and more than enough to quickly accelerate most small craft onto the plane with plenty of low-down lugging power for heavy displacement duty.
The Dtorque is the ideal choice if you operate or manage:
work boats
safety/rescue boats
fishing boats
governmental and port authority vessels
passenger boats
superyacht tenders
Increased Safety
Diesel is less flammable than gasoline, and so the Dtorque is the safer choice for potentially hazardous environments, such as in the oil and gas industry. Superyacht and cruise ship operators, for example, will also benefit from the time and cost savings associated with having fewer fire safety precautions and regulations.
In addition, there is only one type of fuel to manage, which is more widely available in ports all over the world. The Dtorque also exceeds EU RDC Stage II emissions regulations, however, is not yet EPA compliant.
Low Noise and Vibration
The Dtorque has a two-cylinder, common rail, turbo-charged diesel engine that uses a unique system of dual counter-rotating crankshafts in an aluminum block. This technology, with its patented â??Spaceballâ?? design, helps reduce vibrations and noise.
Another advantage of these crankshafts is the lack of rotating and operating (steering) torques. This results in less fatigue during the engines operation.
We are a ship recycling company based in Japan. We specialize in supplying marine diesel engines and generators.
The engines and generators are extracted at our facility from various vessels including Naval training, coast guard, and Fishing vessels.
We currently have Two MTU 12V183 Engines with gearboxes in pristine working condition. These engines have been extracted from Coast guard vessels at our yard and are ready for immediate export.
If you are interested in these engines please let us know Via email or WhatsApp. We look forward to hearing from you.
