Tuna is frozen whole in brine and blast freezers and stored below -18°C. Frozen tuna is a raw material for canning and the following sizes are offered; 1.4 ~ 1.8 Kg 1.8~ 3.4 Kg 3.4~ 12 Kg 12 Kg Over
Cooked & frozen loins are ready-to-pack raw material for canning. Cooked & cleaned tuna loins are vacuum sealed in LDPE pouches and blast frozen. Frozen pouches are packed in paper master cartons and stored below -18°C.
The raw material for canned tuna is carefully selected, butchered, pre-cooked, cleaned to remove skin, dark meat & bones, packed in cans with oil or brine, hermetically sealed and heat processed by the application of saturated steam; to attain commercial sterility.
