LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) consists mainly of propane and butanes, either separately or in different proportions and mixtures of each product. LPG is a by-product of crude oil production (Associated Gas) and a by-product of natural gas production (Non Associated Gas).
It is a fossil fuel that does not occur in isolation. LPG is found naturally in combination with other hydrocarbons, typically crude oil and natural gas. LPG is produced during natural gas processing and oil refining. It is isolated, liquefied through pressurisation and stored in pressure vessels
Liquefied natural gas is natural gas that has been cooled down to liquid form for ease and safety of non-pressurized storage or transport. It takes up about 1/600th the volume of natural gas in the gaseous state. It is odorless, colorless, non-toxic and non-corrosive
