The Saanen goat is the most productive milk goat breed of Switzerland, which has the most productive milking goats in the world. The average milk yield is 838 kg in lactation of 264 days. The milk should have a minimum of 3.2% fat and 2.7% protein.

The Saanen is the largest breed of Swiss goat. Billies stand 90cm at the withers and weigh around 85kg. It has white skin and a short white coat. They may be horned or hornless, and tassels may be present. Their ears are erect and point upwards and forwards.

Premium feed option for a variety of feed programs for cattle and horses and can be fed regularly to satisfy appetite and maintain overall health and conditioning without excess calories and protein because of its low protein, high fiber, and high energy content make it easily digestible. For livestock with higher protein requirements, Bulk Timothy hay is often part of a comprehensive feed program including alfalfa or other legume. Bulk Timothy hay is highly palatable and low to moderate in protein usually testing at approximately 8%, a rich source of digestible fiber with a consistent and balanced ratio of calcium to phosphorus.

Grades:
We use the USDA nutrition guideline based solely on Scientific Analysis to determine the Timothy Hay grade.
1)- Premium Horse timothy:
Generally loaded as single compressed (S/C) in a 3Tie bale from the farm, has a very good color, very little to no brown leaf, has a soft texture and has not been rained on.


2)- Super Premium Dairy Timothy:
Generally pressed and must have very good color, minimal brown leaf and has not been rained on.
Can often be similar in appearance to Premium Horse, but is sourced from a big bale.


3)- Premium Dairy Timothy:
Generally pressed and has good green color, minimal brown leaf but a little more than Super Premium and has not been rained on.


4)- Low Premium Dairy Timothy:
Generally pressed and may have slightly more brown leaf or a little green color than Premium Dairy and is usually not rained on.


5)- #1 Dairy A Timothy:
Generally pressed and will sometimes have less color or more brown leaf than Premium Dairy and Low Premium and may have taken a slight rain shower which took longer to dry in the field.


6)- #1.5 Dairy Timothy:
Generally pressed and will have additional brown leaf and less color then #1 Dairy and most likely took a shower.


7)- #2 Dairy Timothy:
Generally pressed and will not have good color and have additional brown leaf and is usually rained on.

Compressed to accommodate the same weights as the natural 3-tie bale, D/C Mini Bale offers saving in transportation costs and it can be hand fed.

This traditional, double-compressed export bale is flexible for different handling and loading styles.

It is light enough to pick up by hand but heavy enough to maximize container or trucking loads.

4)- 110kg Log: 100-120kg (220-265lb) 58cm x 116cm x 43cm
This package type (the base unit for D/C, D/C Cut, and D/C Mini bale) is consolidated in a double-compressed unit, which means efficient transportation.
Feeding with the 110kg log can be dropped off in a field, in a trough, or blended into a ration.

It's shape ensures that multiple animals can be fed with minimal stacking and unstacking.

5)- 350kg: 350kg (772lb) 107cm x 76cm x 112cm
The 350kg bale is a large double compressed bale available only with our Straw products and is packaged with plastic straps in place of plastic sleeves.
This bale type is best suited to large-scale feeding needs such as TMR or feed rations and is a very economical packaging option.

6)- 430kg: 430kg (948lb) 117cm x 77cm x 121cm
The 430kg bale is a large double compressed bale best used when incorporated into TMR or feed rations for large-scale dairies.

Highly modernized dairies prefer this package because it is simple to load and unload with a forklift, saves on shipping costs, and is simple to manage.

7)- Mag: 430kg (948lb) 117cm x 81cm x 122cm
The MAG bale is a flexible alternative to the 430kg bale.
This bale is double compressed and can be sectioned off into 0, 4, 8 or 16 blocks of hay while still retaining the large sleeve.

It's a very popular hay export packaging option and is offered in either 4, 8, or 16-cut configurations.
