Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed primarily of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) in the form of the mineral calcite. It often contains other minerals, such as clay, dolomite, and silic Appearance: Limestone can vary in color from white and gray to tan, brown, and even black. Its appearance can be influenced by impurities, organic materials, and the type of minerals present. Uses: Construction: Limestone is widely used as a building material for flooring, walls, and facades due to its durability and aesthetic appeal. Industry: It is used in various industries, such as cement production, where it serves as a key ingredient in the manufacturing of Portland cement. Agriculture: Limestone is used to improve soil quality by neutralizing acidity, providing essential nutrients like calcium, and promoting plant growth. Chemical Industry: It is used in the production of lime, which has applications in various chemical processes.
Quicklime (or calcium oxide or burnt lime) is obtained by calcining pure limestone at temperature above 9000C. This highly reactive product is essential to many industrial processes. Calcium oxide (CaO), commonly known as quicklime or burnt lime, is a widely used chemical compound. It is a white, caustic, alkaline, crystalline solid at room temperature. The broadly used term lime connotes calcium-containing inorganic materials, in which carbonates, oxides and hydroxides of calcium, silicon, magnesium, aluminium, and iron predominate. Application: Steel Making, FGD, Construction, Masonry & Mortars, Water Treatment, Chemical Processes, Mining Industry, sugar industry, Paper, Pulp and PCC, Remediation of Sludges and Wastes and Glass Manufacturing. Packing: 1000kg Jumbo bag. Item Specification CaO: 92.5% ± 2 Loss on Ignition at 1000 °C: 4% ±2 Grain Size: 10- 60 mm Reactivity: High

Calcined lime, an alkaline compound, is used in a number of industries. Calcium oxide has many uses, including manufacturing glass and the production of calcium hydroxide. It can also be used to reduce the burning temperature of coal and to increase the pH in water to make it less acidic.
We can supply large quantities of gray high-grade Limestone in different sizes. 0-5 mm | 5-10 mm | 10-20 mm ! 20-25 Aggregate Gabbro 5-10mm 5-15, 10-15, 10-20 , 25 mm Bitumen 60/70 , 80/100 ,40/50, Asphalt and Sulphur INDONEAISAN COALS
Limestone is a sedimentary rock which is often composed of the skeletal fragments of marine organisms such as coral, foraminifera and molluscs. Its major materials are the minerals calcite and aragonite, which are different crystal forms of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). About 10% of sedimentary rocks are limestones. The solubility of limestone in water and weak acid solutions leads to karst landscapes, in which water erodes the limestone over thousands to millions of years. Most cave systems are through limestone bedrock. Limestone has numerous uses: as a building material, an essential component of concrete (Portland cement), as aggregate for the base of roads, as white pigment or filler in products such as toothpaste or paints, as a chemical feedstock for the production of lime, as a soil conditioner, or as a popular decorative addition to rock gardens. To make Portland Cementâ??the most common type of Cementâ??powdered Limestone is heated in a rotary kiln. As a source of calcium, it joins with powdered clay to produce a product called clinker, which is then ground with a source of sulfate, like gypsum. It is mixed with water, sand and crushed rock to create concrete.
Fine limestone available for export.
Limestone is the most abundant, Grey to black Coloured mineral. It is widely used in Ready Mix Concrete, plasters, mortars and most of the other cementitious construction materials. Limestone is also used in Iron and steel manufacturing industries. At Gulf Minerals & Chemicals. We offer Limestone in both aggregate and powder for as per the particles size specified by the customer and desired packaging.
