Coconut fiber coconut fibre, is a natural fibre extracted from the husk of coconut and used in products such as floor mats, doormats, brushes and mattresses. Coir is the fibrous material found between the hard, internal shell and the outer coat of a coconut.
Coir Fibre is extracted from the fibrous outer cover of the fruit of the Coconut palm, with or without retting. Coir Fibre is graded based on its nature of extraction, colour, presence of long and short fibres, impurities etc. It is then processed into the finest fibres. Coir Fibre is of two typesâ??brown and white. Coir obtained from fresh green Coconut is termed as White Fibre, which is finer than the Brown Fibre. The Brown Fibre are the outcome of Seasoned Fully Matured Coconuts which lose their green colour in the process. Each of them have their own distinct types of applications. The Brown Fibre is widely used for fabrication of doormats, brushes, mattresses and other upholstery material whereas the White Fibre is used for making ropes, making fishing nets, and other eco-friendly Products.

COIR FIBER The Outermost covering of the coconut is called the coconut HUSK. Coir fiber is extracted from the coconut Husk. Coco peat is the by-product obtained during extraction of fiber from Husk. Coir fiber is used for making mats, ropes, Geo-textiles etc. Coir is broadly classified into 2 types. 1. White coir fiber -- Coir extracted from Fresh Green coconut husks. Used for making 2-ply yarn, Ropes etc. 2. Brown coir fiber -- Coir extracted from matured Brown coconut husks. Used for making beds. Coir Fiber Quality 1. Coir fiber is sold in various grades based on application and also how much the client is willing to pay for. 2. First grade fibers either brown or white has only Long length fibres in the range of 10 to 20 cms. Has very less impurities 3. Sisal fibre is derived from the leaves of the plant. It is usually obtained by machine decortications in which the leaf is crushed between rollers and then mechanically scraped. The fibre is then washed and dried by mechanical or natural means. The dried fibre represents only 4% of the total weight of the leaf. Once it is dried the fibre is mechanically double brushed. The lustrous strands, usually creamy white, average from 80 to 120 cm in length and 0.2 to 0.4 mm in diameter Sisal fibre is fairly coarse and inflexible. It is valued for cordage use because of its strength, durability, ability to stretch, affinity for certain dyestuffs, and resistance to deterioration in saltwater. Sisal is used by industry in three grades: The lower grade fibre is processed by the paper industry because of its high content of cellulose and hemicelluloses. The medium grade fibre is used in the cordage industry for making: ropes, baler and binders twine. Ropes and twines are widely employed for marine, agricultural, and general industrial use. The higher-grade fibre after treatment is converted into yarns and used by the carpet industry. The fibre is also used for non-woven matting, brushing and roving.

Coconut Coir Fibre Coconut coir fibre is a 100% natural By-product and echo friendly which is extracted from the outer shell of the coconut fruit and husk. Coconut coir fibre is available in two types, one is brown in colour and the other one is white in colour. Brown colour fiber is obtained from ripe coconut, where as white colour fibre is obtained from the unripe coconut. Generally the coconut coir fibre is used in upholstery, horticulture and in making ropes, twine, floor mat, door mat, geotex, brushes......etc. The coconut fibre is compressed into square and rectanular shapes of bales, weighing from a range of 100 kgs to 1250 kgs as per demand and the bale is winded by iron hoops or plastic strips. In a 40 foot container we can stuff approximately 20 metric tons of coconut coir fibre.
