Steam coal may refer to black coal with a certain combustible condition where formed from coal seams rock. It is mostly consisting of carbon and a mixture with some small amounts of other elements such as hydrogen, sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen.
There are two types of coal which are generally used for industrial purposes in Indonesia. Those coal are metallurgical coal and thermal coal or steaming coal. Metallurgical coal is commonly used as a material for making steel while thermal coal is generally used to generate electricity and thermal energy.
