Digital Friability Test Apparatus is a precision instrument suitable for measuring abrasion strength of tablets. The unit is equipped with two transparent acrylic drums which rotate at a speed of 25 +- 1 rpm. Suitable sliding tray made of ABS lined with SS material of thickness 0.8mm (minimum) on the side walls as well as the bottom of the tray is provided for collection of residue and destroyed tips syringe.
Suitable provision to burn the needle and to cut the syringe tips are provided in the unit.
It complies in general to the requirements of IS:302 (Part-1) 1979 to ensure safe and reliable operation in normal use.

2. Manual Cutter: Fitted with High Carbon Cutter to cut Syringe Hub.
3. Capacity: The unit is having adequate capacity to destroy all kinds and following sizes of injection needles. Dia ranging from 24G upto 18G.
4. Power Switches: Power on/off switch is provided along with power on indicator. The unit is provided with fuse of adequate rating. The item quoted is also provided with power cord of 1.5 meter length and an earthing point.
5. Power Requirements: Power 230V+10% 50HZ AC supply requirements. The following are the power requirements.
1. In Stand-by mode maximum upto 3 watt.
2. During destruction of thickest needle of 18G maximum power requirement/power consumption is maximum 5 amp at 230VAC.
3. The 5 pieces of injection needle of 18G upto full length as available in market can be destroyed in continuous operation.
