In terms of strength and weight, the profiles generated with this method may compete with typical metal profiles composed of steel and aluminium. UV radiation screens for increased weather-ability, antimony oxide for flame untoward incidents, pigments for colour, and low-profile agents for surface smoothness and crack suppression qualities are examples of special purpose additives.
