Heat Curing Silicone Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive (LOCA) is a high-performance adhesive designed for use in optical applications that require clarity, strength, and thermal stability. It is a two-part system consisting of a base and a curing agent. The base component is composed of a silicone elastomer, which is combined with various additives to create the desired performance characteristics of the adhesive. The curing agent is composed of a catalyst that serves to initiate and accelerate the curing of the adhesive. When the two components are mixed and exposed to heat, a strong, optically clear bond is formed. LOCA offers excellent adhesion to glass, metal, and plastic substrates, as well as good optical clarity, UV resistance, and thermal stability. It is ideal for assembling touch panels, displays, and other optical components.
Process of Heat Curing Silicone Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive
BTL Heat Curing Silicone Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive is a high-performance adhesive that cures quickly and provides superior optical clarity and bond strength. This two-part adhesive is designed for the assembly of glass, polycarbonate, and other optically clear materials.
The process for heat curing BTL Silicone Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive begins by preparing the surfaces to receive the adhesive. The surfaces must be clean and free of any dust, dirt, oil, or grease. The parts must also be positioned and held in place securely.
Once the surfaces have been prepared, the adhesive can be mixed. The two parts are mixed in equal parts and mixed thoroughly until they are completely combined. The adhesive should be mixed just before it is used to prevent it from curing prematurely.
The adhesive should be applied directly to the surfaces to be bonded and spread evenly with a brush or spatula. Once the adhesive is applied, the parts should be placed together and clamped securely in place.
