USES OF DOLOMITE POWDER
RUBBER PRODUCTS:
A huge market for dolomite is rubber industry manufacturing different products as footwears, container, etc.
CONSTRUCTION:
In a crushed manner it is used extensively in construction industry such as base of roads, aggregate in cement and filling in different manners. Rail road Ballast also invites huge usage of dolomite sand.
AS A STRAINER:
Used in hydro power plants to strain all the impurities from water when used as sand formation.
THERMAL POWER PLANTS:
Due to its high resistance to heat it is used in kilns for lining in the inside part and also exterior.
CERAMIC INDUSTRY:
Due to its hardness and high gravity it is used hugely in tiles and other ceramic based industries , as well as a sintering agent in iron ore pelletization and as a flux agent in steel making.
CHEMICAL INDUSTRY:
Due to use of MgO in pharma and other scientific purposes, dolomite is used in this industry also. Extraction of MgO from powder or chips os done through chemical processing by treating it with various acids.

The Application of Dolomite Fertilizer
Used for Agriculture Sector
Dolomite is able to fertilize the soil and increase agricultural productivity. Dolomite not only improves soil fertility, but also increases plant resistance to pests and diseases.
Used for Industrial Sector
Dolomite is usually used for different applications in industrial sector, like the rubber industry, powder coating, ceramic industry, detergent application, glass making process and many more.
Used for Aquaculture Sector
Dolomite is used to treat water, increase the alkalinity of water, provide trace elements and macro nutrients for fish feed and create an environment for algae to grow. During aquaculture, the pH of the pond continuously decreases, the composition of macro nutrients and micro nutrients need to be added to create a suitable environment for aquatic and algae useful growth; Therefore, it is often necessary to sprinkle with Dolomite powder.
Dolomite is a form of limestone, rich in approximately equal parts of magnesium carbonate and calcium carbonate. It is found widely throughout the world. Dolomitic limestone contains about five times as much magnesium and five eighths as much calcium as ordinary limestone. Dolomite also contains small amounts of chlorine, phosphorus, and potassium, in addition to more than 20 other trace elements.
Nutritional
Dolomite long has been used as a source of calcium and magnesium for animal feeds. Dolomite now is available in a number of dosage forms including tablets and chewable wafers, to be taken as dietary supplements. In animal models, minerals from dolomite are well absorbed. Research reveals no animal or clinical data regarding the use of dolomite as a magnesium and calcium supplement.
Dolomite, a type of limestone, provides valuable nutrients to plants and helps change the pH of the soil by raising it to match the plants' needs. It's sometimes called dolomitic lime or dolomitic limestone, and provides more nutrients than straight lime. It's often used in addition to balanced fertilizers, particularly with seeding fruit.
Dolomite is used as an ornamental stone, a concrete aggregate, and a source of magnesium oxide, as well as in the Pidgeon process for the production of magnesium
