Carbon Fiber Surface Mat is a non-woven tissue made from randomly oriented carbon fibers distributed in special binder by a wet lay process. It's a new super carbon material, with properties of high performance reinforced, high strength, high modulus, fire resistant, corrosion resistant, fatigue resistant composites.
It's mainly applied to aerospace, medical instrument, sports equipment, conductivity, anti-static, and anti-spark properties and car parts etc.
It is made of randomly yet evenly distributed chopped strands fiber of 50mm or 100mm length stitched by polyester thread. It has high tensile strength and is recommended for Pultrusion process,Uncontinuous winding Process & Laminates.

Stitch Mat will not wash out in RTM process. and can be pre-wet and moved for proper placement in wet lay-up open molding. it gives uniform thickness compared to extra spray-up in open molding. it is low cost alternative for building thickness and stiffness, where the component is not weight critical.

Stitched fiberglass fabric (also called veilmat) is produced by stitching a polyester veil (tissue) to chopped strands. Polyester veil is around 45G/M2. Polyester veil has feature of anti-aging & water resistant, and also gives good surface to finished product. It is for pultrusion, especially for thin pultrusion product, closed mould process, or pipe winding. we export this materials to different countries like Exel composites in Australia, Iran, Ukraine, Italy, Malaysia and so on.
Stitch type: Tricot stitch on veil side, pillar stitch on CS. The chopped length is 100mm. Gauge is F5(space between needles 7mm).
