Silver travertine is a naturally occurring type of stone and is often used for decorative items. The name of this stone is given due to the silver or gray tone veins and patterns on it. Travertine is a type of rock formed as a result of the deterioration of calcium carbonate as sediment. It is naturally found in caves, thermal springs and along the banks of some rivers.
Silver travertine is a building material used indoors and outdoors. It is frequently preferred in many areas such as wall coverings, flooring, countertops, sinks and shower windows. It is preferred by many people due to its aesthetic appearance and quantity.
Travertine; It consists of Calcium Carbonate and is technically a carbonate rock; It occurs around hot springs and in caves. Groundwater containing calcium bicarbonate, rich in minerals, and hot under hydrostatic pressure, loses pressure when it rises to the surface through a crack or reaches a space such as a cave. The CO2 dissolved in these waters is released into the atmosphere (just like a shaken soda foaming when the lid is opened) and solid calcite precipitates, thus forming Denizli travertines.
