The casing head is a kind of part of connecting casings and wellheads. It is used to support the weight of technical casing and intermediate casing and seal the annular space between the casings, which provides a transition joint for the installation of the tubing head, Christmas tree and other wellheads. The two-side-outlet design allows the casing head to supply cement, monitor and control well's sinking, and inject balance liquids etc. Casing head design features a 45 degree landing shoulder. This design avoids damage to sealing areas by drilling tools and prevents test plug and blow protector wedging problems when pressure is applied. This design also allows for accurate vertical positioning of annular seals, control line porting and test ports.

Cement head is a device fitted to the top joint of a casing string to hold a cement plug before it is pumped down the casing during the cementing operation. In most operations, a bottom plug is launched before the spacer of cement slurry. The top plug is released form the cement head after the spacer fluid. Most cement heads can hold both the top and bottom plugs. A manifold incorporated into the cement head assembly allows connection of a fluid circulation line.
