Carbomer 940 is a cross-linked polyacrylate polymer used in personal care gels and creams as a high-efficient rheology modifier. The basic principles of working with Carbomer 940 thickener:

- Carbomer 940 mixed with water or oils (leave for half an hour);
- enter assets with low pH (acid);
- introduce high pH assets (if available in the recipe);
- balance the pH to a value of 6-7;
- enter neutral assets;
- at the last stage, introduce a preservative with a neutral pH (or according to the scheme above).
