Cornstarch is the starch of corn devoid of the germ and bran and is used in pastries and other savory dishes, such as bechamel, even to thicken sauces. Corn flour, in its various varieties, is used for pancakes, arepas and tamales.
The product consists of small crushed particles of corn seeds of various shapes, obtained by crushing and sifting, previously peeled from shells and corn germ. Color: from white to yellow with gradation. Smell: typical for coarse corn flour, without extraneous smells, not stale, not moldy, not malty.
