Dark roast coffee is a dark brown color and often has an oily surface. These coffees have a low acidity, heavy body, and tend to reveal deeper, darker flavors. Coffees roasted to this level tend to not have many of their origin characteristics left, but that doesnâ??t mean that these are bland and boring. Some coffees really lend themselves to a dark roast because they thrive with chocolate-y, nutty, and caramel flavors.

The history of coffee beans is a long journey from its initial discovery in the East African region, then its spread around the world, from the Arabian Peninsula, which became the first center of coffee development, to the large plantations in South America and Southeast Asia, which contributed greatly to global trade and created a beverage that became a symbol of social and cultural gatherings, Further developments in the processing of coffee beans, careful roasting methods, and the interest in specialty coffees became important trends in the modern coffee industry, bringing a variety of rich flavors and aromas to coffee connoisseurs.
