Clove stems are the stems of bud flower of clove plant. Clove stems are collected from clove plantation spread throughout islands of Sumatra, Ambon and Sulawesi in Indonesia. Clove stem is available in two qualities:
Clove stem with oil which is slightly brown in color and distilled clove stem (without oil) which is a bit blackish in color

Cloves Handpicked; this grade of cloves is minimum 99% free from impurity, well sorted manually with less than 10% headless, free from coco-cloves / white cloves and almost no baby cloves.
Cloves Grade 1; this grade is always to be allowed at least 1% of admixture, very less baby cloves, bright in color and percentage of headless is less than 25. Cloves FAQ; this quality of cloves is as average quality with 3 to 4% admixture, is tolerable and slightly dark / bright in color. Also we do have Clove Stems.

The word Clove is derived from the word clou which means nail. It is aromatic flower of the flower buds of a tree in the family Myrtaceae. It is used as spice in cuisine all over the world. It originates from India. Clove tree is a evergreen tree whose height ranges from 10-20 m. Apart from being used in cuisine, natural clove is also used in other industries for its medicinal use and therapeutic value.
Origin:-
Clove is a native of Indonesia. Clove spice is also grown in Zanzibar, Indonesia and Madagascar; it is also grown in India, and Sri Lanka. According to FAO, Indonesia leads the world in clove production. Nearly 80% of the clove of the world is produced by Indonesia followed by Madagascar and Tanzania.
Trade in Cloves:-
Indonesia is the largest producer of cloves, followed by Madagascar, Zanzibar, India and Sri Lanka. Tanzania (Zanzibar) is another major producer of cloves contributing approximately 60% to the total world production. ZNZ cloves are supplied by our channel partners.
