a)Kabuli chickpeas are typically whitish to light tan in colour however there are
new varieties that are black or green in color.
b)Desi chickpeas are typically brown in colour and smaller than Kabuli.
They are large roundish legumes with a bumpy surface.

Raw, dry, threshed, sound chick peas. Yellow-cream in color, slightly round in shape, with a pointed end. Nutty flavor. Through sieves, fans and other cleaning equipment, the chick peas are sized as per contract specification.
Product characteristics:
To prevent spoilage including mold and mycotoxin growth during storage, must be < 14% moisture.
