They are used in the pulp and paper industry to break down lignin and produce cellulose fibers. Caustic soda flakes are also used in the textile industry to process cotton and dye fabrics. They are used in the production of soaps and detergents to neutralize acids and adjust pH levels. Caustic soda flakes are used in the food industry to process cocoa and chocolate, and to remove skins from fruits and vegetables. They are also used in the petroleum industry to refine crude oil and remove sulfur compounds. Caustic soda flakes are used in the production of aluminum, which is used in the automotive and aerospace industries. They are also used in the production of biodiesel, which is a renewable fuel source.
