Coconut Oil cake is the byproduct of Oil Extraction. It constitutes mainly fibre, 20% Protein and 10% Oil. Mechanical extraction of oil cannot recover oil in full. This oil cake can be used for further oil recovery with a solvent extraction process. Oil cake can also be directly used as cattle feed.
Sesame oil meal (or sesame oil cake) is the protein-rich by-product obtained after oil extraction. Depending on the way oil has been extracted, sesame oil meal can be food grade (from dehulled sesame seeds) or used as a feed for livestock and poultry (from undecorticated sesame seeds). It is a valuable source of protein for animals (Hansen, 2011; Oplinger et al., 1990). Unlike other oil meals, sesame oil meal is usually obtained by mechanical extraction only (rather by mechanical extraction followed by solvent extraction) and its residual oil content is high.
Views Differ on the effectiveness of the varieties as a feed. The tree foliage is usually consumed by cattle and easily eaten by goats. But, in several places it's not consumed by animals. its feed value is best in dry areas. The oil cake, residual left after the oil is usually taken out from the seeds, is normally used as poultry feed.

It is obtained from the kernels of the palm fruit and is commonly used as a feed ingredient for livestock, especially in the production of ruminant feeds. PKC is rich in protein and energy and is a good source of essential amino acids, making it an attractive feed ingredient for animals. The process of extracting palm oil from the palm fruit involves crushing the fruit and separating the palm kernel from the palm mesocarp. The palm kernel is then further processed to extract the oil, leaving behind a solid cake known as the palm kernel cake (expeller) PKC has a high fiber content and a relatively low oil content compared to palm kernel meal, another by-product of the palm oil extraction process. PKC is often used as a substitute for other protein sources in animal feed, such as soybean meal or fish meal. It is also used as a feed ingredient in the production of biofuels.
