The shades of color are inevitable with this product as it is with most organic, all-natural products. The smell of Ivory Shea Butter is slightly nutty, and the consistency is rich but relatively light when compared to Yellow Shea Butter.

Refined Shea butter is made from our high quality, organic unrefined Shea butter, extracted and handcrafted using the traditional process. An additional physical refining process using clay produces a white, odorless Shea butter in a refined state. There are no chemicals used in the extraction process.
Refined Shea butter is most commonly used as a base ingredient in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, personal care, skincare, confectionery, soap manufacturing and leather care. The Shea butter is deodorized and the color is removed, ensuring limited interference with the desired fragrance and color of your end product. Refined shea butter is often preferred as base for formulating lotion and creams, not only because the consistent color (white) and absence of fragrance, but also because refined shea butter is a more stable butter.

Our Yellow Shea Butter is pure unrefined shea butter with one additional ingredient, the extract of the African Borututu Tree, which has been used by African natives for centuries to help with healing and soothing the skin. The inside of this tree is a deep yellow color and is how our Yellow Shea Butter gets its color. This butter does not contain palm oil or other ingredients.
Yellow Shea Butter is nutrient-rich, packed with vitamins and antioxidants. It is effective in deeply moisturizing the skin and to help repair severely dry or cracked skin.
What Is Cocoa Butter?
Organic cocoa butter is pressed from cocoa beans and is yellow in colour. It is a solid and hard oil at room temperature, but can be melted at 40C.
