Carbomer 940 Polymer Gel Thickening Agent Cosmetic Grade (Carbopol/Polygel 940) Ideal thickening agent for make-up and hand gels Also known as Carbo 940 and Polygel 940 Thanks to a high-quality thickener, to obtain a stable gel emulsion or cream is elementary, even at home. Whether you are a professional or a beginner, working with the gelling agent of the new generation Carbomer 940, it is very easy to achieve high-quality cosmetic consistency (gel, cream). Characteristic of Carbomer 940: This cosmetic component is a white powder that mixes well with water and oils. For cosmetic use is recommended about 0.1-0.5%. The initial pH level is 3-3.3, however, with an increase in acid-base balance (over 6), the cosmetic mass is converted into a gel-like substance. The basic principles of working with Carbomer 940 thickener: - introduce stabilizers; - Carbomer 940 mixed with water or oils (leave for half an hour); - enter assets with low pH (acid); - introduce high pH assets (if available in the recipe); - balance the pH to a value of 6-7; - enter neutral assets; - at the last stage, introduce a preservative with a neutral pH (or according to the scheme above). Action Carbomer 940, as part of cosmetics: - excellent stabilizer; -forms transparent gel formulations (non-sticky); - creates a moisture-retaining / protective film; - has a biological neutrality with respect to other components of the formulation.
