Pet Coke briquettes is produced on order from pet coke powder which is generated whilst recycling of anodes in the aluminium industry. Pet coke briquettes forms part of our new product development and we are exploring new markets for this product.
The Pet coke originates from calcined petroleum coke and three (3) different grades are available, depending on quality:
It is generated during the aluminium smelting process as a result of high Sodium (Na) content in the alumina. Surplus cryolite is liquidly tapped and then crushed to be reused by other smelters or to compensate for electrolyte losses.
