Kaolin: Kaolin uses are multiple and diverse. Kaolin are used as functional filler, extender, ceramic raw material and pigment because of its whiteness and fine particle size. Kaolin also hold importance as raw material in refractory applications, concrete, rubber and fiber glass manufacturing. We, as a Kaolin Exporter welcome any size of international orders from Middle East and other countries. Applications: Paper: Kaolin used as a coating pigment and as a filler to replace fiber. It possesses desirable optical properties. Concrete: Kaolin helps to improve strength and durability of concrete. When added to concrete mix, reacts with free lime released during cement hydration to produce additional cementitious material, resulting in an improved high performance concrete. Plastics : Kaolin is widely used as filler in the plastics industry because of its inert chemical nature and its unique size, shape and structure. Agriculture : It is used as a carrier and diluent in fertilizers, pesticides and related products. It is suitable as carrier because it aides the retention of the formulations on the plant. Rubber : It is commonly used as functional filler in rubber applications. While Kaolin improves overall performance for Rubber in general, different types of white pigment play specific roles in rubber application. Paint : Kaolin used as an extender in paints. It reduces the amount of expensive pigment such as Titanium Dioxide. It assists with desirable rheological properties that help maintain proper dispersion and provide bulk to the product. Ceramic : Kaolin improves whiteness and brightness of ceramic body. Good plasticity, good shrinkage, low water absorption and casting rate are also very important properties of kaolin.
Kaolin also called as China Clay is nearly white in colour. It is distinguished from other industrial clays based on its fine particle size and pure colourings. Its ability to disperse in water makes it an ideal pigment. The primary constituent in kaolin is the mineral kaolinite, a hydrous aluminum silicate formed by the decomposition of minerals such as feldspar. Hydrous kaolin is characterized by its fine particle size, plate like or lamellar particle shape and chemical inertness. China Clay is a naturally hydrated Aluminum Silicate. It is one of the most abundantly available clay in the Earth scrust. Pure grade of China clay or kaolin clay produce by the processes of levigating. China Clay is also called â??KAOLINâ??, it is one of the essential Raw materials for Ceramic Industries, China Clay does not swell on adding water & Alumina present in Clay do not form Isomorphism series with any other metallic compound. China clay products are immensely used in the manufacturing of ceramics, papers, paint colors, vitrified tiles, soap, ultramarine and in various other purposes. Kaolinite is the mineral that is derived from the rock called â??Kaolinâ?? and from there, it gets its name. It is also commonly known as â??China Clayâ??. Kaolin is mined from the regions of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Kerala, West Bengal and Jharkhand in India The physical properties of Kaolin include high brightness, non-abrasiveness, poor conductivity of heat and electricity and it has naturally fine particles. Kaolin remains white after calcination due to its refractory properties and can be easily dispersed in water. There are several variations within Kaolin such as Hydrous Kaolin, Metakaolin and Calcined Kaolin. We offer a vast range of Kaolin-based minerals to several businesses from paper manufacturing to porcelain tableware, paints, cosmetics, packaging, rubber and pharmaceuticals to name a few. We customize our minerals according to the needs of the industry of our clients. Hydrous Kaolin has fine particles with plate-like shapes and inertness in terms of chemical reactivity, whereas, Metakaolin is created by the process of calcination of Kaolin. It is a white mineral additive which is most popularly used in cement-based products. In contrast to this, Calcined Kaolin is manufactured by heating the finest natural kaolin to high temperatures in a kiln. This calcination process changes the size and shape of the particles, enhances the whiteness and hardness of the mineral and improves its electrical conductivity. Kaolinite is a clay mineral, with the chemical composition Alâ??Siâ??Oâ??(OH)â?? Various Industrial Usages: Kaolin is a very important mineral in the ceramics industry. Itâ??s high fusion temperature and white firing characteristic makes it perfect to be used in the manufacture of sanitaryware, tableware, floors & tiles and refractories. In the construction industry, kaolin is used to enhance the mechanical properties, porosity and look of several types of cement and concrete. It is also an impeccable source of alumina source in the manufacturing of fiberglass. Kaolin is used in paper manufacturing and fiber-based packaging also. Our Kaolin mineral enhances surface functionality when it is used as fillers or coating pigments and thus further helping in reducing the manufacturing cost of the paper or the packaging. Moreover, it is extensively used in decorative paints formulations as it is a natural opacifier and it is the perfect mineral when high gloss is required. Our specialized Kaolin also can be used as multi-purpose fillers to improve the performance of adhesives, plastics and rubber. We are extremely confident in our offering of Kaolin mineral as we understand how Kaolin can optimize the performance, reduce the costs and can achieve minimum carbon footprint in our clientâ??s end products

kaolin, also called china clay, soft white clay that is an essential ingredient in the manufacture of china and porcelain and is widely used in the making of paper, rubber, paint, and many other products. Kaolin is named after the hill in China (Kao-ling) from which it was mined for centuries. Samples of kaolin were first sent to Europe by a French Jesuit missionary around 1700 as examples of the materials used by the Chinese in the manufacture of porcelain. In its natural state kaolin is a white, soft powder consisting principally of the mineral kaolinite, which, under the electron microscope, is seen to consist of roughly hexagonal, platy crystals ranging in size from about 0.1 micrometre to 10 micrometres or even larger. These crystals may take vermicular and booklike forms, and occasionally macroscopic forms approaching millimetre size are found. Kaolin as found in nature usually contains varying amounts of other minerals such as muscovite, quartz, feldspar, and anatase. In addition, crude kaolin is frequently stained yellow by iron hydroxide pigments. It is often necessary to bleach the clay chemically to remove the iron pigment and to wash it with water to remove the other minerals in order to prepare kaolin for commercial use.
