Zinc oxide is a largely inert, white compound which is used very widely as a bulking agent or filler, and as a white pigment. It is found in some rubber, glass and ceramic products, and finds use in the chemical industry as a catalyst. It is also used in paints as a corrosion inhibitor and for mildew control.
The zinc content of mined ore is usually between 3 and 10 percent. Almost all ores contain the lead sulfide mineral galena and small quantities of cadmium sulfide.. The most common zinc ore is sphalerite (zinc blende), a zinc sulfide mineral.Specifications Size 1-50 Mm, 100-200 Mm, 200-300 Mm, 50-100 Mm Material Raw Zinc Shape Lump Oil Absobtion 5-7% Silver 0.01% Density 5.6 Lead zinc content 38%-45% Sieving rate: 98% Zn 48.00% min. Extra pure, Arsenic free Zinc Oxide Powder and Eugenol oil to be used as
obtudent for the relief of minor dental pain and to form sedative dentinal
dressing with zinc oxide.
The most common zinc ore is sphalerite (zinc blende), a zinc sulfide mineral. The largest workable lodes are in Australia, Asia, and the United States. Zinc is refined by froth flotation of the ore, roasting, and final extraction using electricity (electrowinning)
