The rice husk, also called rice hull, is the coating on a seed or grain of rice. It is formed from hard materials, including silica and lignin, to protect the seed during the growing season. Each kg of milled white rice results in roughly 0.28 kg of rice husk as a by-product of rice production during milling.
Rice straw is produced as a byproduct of rice production at harvest. Rice straw is removed with the rice grains during harvest and it ends up being piled or spread out in the field depending if it was harvested manually or using machines.
This kind of feed has high protein content and high content of alkaline nitrate compounds, good adaptability, fast weight gain, and can be used as feed for livestock and poultry.
The chick starter is a kind of grain feed that has the highest amount of protein. It looks a lot like grains of sand or dirt. The high protein amount is needed by the newly hatched chicks for it to grow quick and healthy.
