Product obtained by hydrolyzing, drying & grinding poultry feathers. Feather from the poultry industry are indigestible and they contain keratins. However, when cooked under extreme conditions of temperature & pressure, dried & ground, the protein becomes partly available The feather meal is very high in protein. More suited to ruminants than to monogastrics. Especially low in lysine & methionine.
