Textile fiber materials are punched with hundreds of needles into strong, thin scrim material to prevent tearing, shifting or migration of fibers
Needling process holds the fibers without glue or resins and they stay in place inside the quilt
Stitch distance is 8-10'' apart due to the binder
Wash and care instruction:
1. Once quilted, machine wash and dry our finished quilt in cold water
3% shrinkage can be expected in the first wash with cold water
To achieve an antique puckered look use warm water for 5% shrinkage
Would not distort when hanger, hooping or when used in quilt frames
Can be used for both batting and also as an exterior craft fabric to create stuffed snowmen and rabbits

3. Many quilters prefer not to pre-wash batting to achieve the unique effect created by the slight shrinkage when the completed quilt is washed
Follow these directions if you wish to pre-wash batting:
Hand wash in a basin or tub with mild detergent, do not agitate or spin in your washing machine
Soak for 20 minutes, then rinse several times
Squeeze water out, do not wring, and roll in towel to remove excess water
Allow to dry flat
Dry in shade or a warm dryer
Do not iron
