This instrument is a hydraulic machine. Select the compression strength, tensile strength, shear strength or transverse testing program from the digital display instrument. Turn the hand wheel to make a pressure through a piston in the machine. A horizontally moving arm applies pressure on a sand specimen until it collapses. Read the strength value from the led display.
