Black galaxy granite tile This is a homogeneous compact and holocrystalline rock. It is composed of scattered orthopyroxene (bronzite) 20%, varying in size from less than 1mm to 2 mm, clinopyroxne 40% and labradorite 30%. Magnetite, olivine, biotite and hornblende are the other accessory minerals present in the rock with a total volume of 10%. It is a medium grained to coarse grained hypoabyssal rock. It is composed of porphyroblasts of orthopyroxene of sizes ranging from 1 mm to 2mm. It is a dark coloured rock. It is a bronzite-dolerite. It is commonly used for interior decorations, wall linings, tombstone memorials and surface plates to erect precious instruments. Hardness 6 Specific gravity 3
