Our dried pineapples come from Limestone Hill Farm, near Bathurst, one of the original 1820 Settler farms in the Eastern Cape. This Cayenne variety is much larger than the Queen variety grown in KwaZulu-Natal, which is mainly used for fresh eating. Cayenne pineapples used to be associated with the canning and juice industries, but together with Jono Bradfield of Limestone Hill, we developed what we believe is the best dried pineapple on the market; large, bright yellow rings with a delicate sweet and sour balance.
