Cloves are native spices from Indonesia that are world-famous. Almost all Indonesians know this spice, or at least have heard of the name 'clove' once in a while, whether in recipes, medicine, herbs or cakes. But in general, people only know about cloves as spices in the dish. In fact, if we look deeper, there is a lot of information that we don't know about this one spice. Cloves are dried flower buds that have not been opened and sold entirely. The reddish-colored buds are taken just before opening and then dried in the sun. The color of cloves changes to dark reddish brown stems with reddish brown shoots or crowns.
