Palladium chloride, also known as palladium chloride, is a commonly used precious metal catalyst. Its molecular formula is pacl2. Its appearance is brownish red acicular crystal or powder. It is easy to deliquesce. Its relative density is chemicalbook 4.0 (18 ), melting point is 500 (decomposition), and is soluble in water, ethanol, hydrobromic acid and acetone. Palladium is decomposed and precipitated in ammonia chloride, potassium iodide and ammonia solution.
